Background

Making art has been a journey since childhood. I started with comic doodles, got a BA in Studio Art from Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio, and then became a professional decorative painter in San Francisco. I have explored watercolor, oil, and acrylic painting, as well as figure drawing, faux finishing for interior spaces, and color consulting. My favorite projects were painting faux marble and wood (esp. mahogany) in old San Francisco Victorians. I hope my paintings combine wonder with professional skill. I love connecting with people through shared aesthetic interests. I feel grateful to those who collect my work. Currently I am exhibiting a series of landscapes, seascapes, and figure paintings at Beacon Physical Therapy in downtown San Francisco.
